VIc.23    Section Oliveto Citra - Postiglione   19 km

Yesterday I had heavy rain, today the weather was a lot better. It was a bit hazy with either clouds or sunshine. A short diversion to Contursi Terme gave me the chance to shop for food at the local SPAR. Then I hiked downhill until arriving at River Sele. Now it got interesting and challenging. There was no trail along the GPS track. First thing I had to pass under road SS691. This was just acceptable. Than I had to cross the motorway A2. Ok, the motorway disapears in a tunnel. To get there meant to cut a pass through head high gras and blackberries. The ground was uneven, had partly puddles and concrete blockings. Finally I was on top of the tunnel and it got easier to hike. I slowly walked downhill to the ald A3. Along this no more used road I could cross the River Sele on a bridge. The GPS track crossing of the river was not possible. And than I arrived the Parco Avventura degli Alburni. From here I reurned back to the trail E1. Along minor roads I continued tin direction of Postiglione. Once I reached the road SS19 I followed a minor road to Agriturismo Il Sorgituro. There they where waiting for me top arrive. After an introduction of the place I was on my own. I could use the laudry machine and wash all my stuff. It was warm and there was no dryer. Under a canopy I had a cloth rack and in the morning everything had dried out.
