I am Detlef Körner. Amongst hikers I am known as Hamburger. When doing long distance hiking in the US you will get sooner or later a hiker name. The "real" name's are mostly not known. While hiking my first long distance on the Appalachian Trail I was given this name. And this was not because I like to eat burgers but because Hamburg is my hometown.

I have completed the three long distance trails Appalachian Trail, Pacific Crest Trail and Continental Divide Trail. For this achievement I received from ALDHAWest the Triple Crown award. Now I have the goal to walk in Europe further sections of the E1. Outstanding is only Italy.
