Being from Hamburg I have walked this section quite a few times. Not always as a continues stretch. If you are not from Hamburg, even so it is in a major city, it is worth it; lake Alster, city, harbour, river Elbe. There are lots and lots of interesting sights. And this all year round. No one should miss this section.
