Overnight I had a short shower. During the day several more followed. During the strongest shower I got lucky. I had a late lunch at the restaurant at Lahnhof. Also there were sunny stretches again and again. Due to logging activities the trail was closed at one spot. As it was Saturday no one was working and of course no detour was marked. So I just ignored the signs. Following upriver along creek Ilse I ran into a ford. I felt the water as being too high. I went uphill reaching a nearby road and crossed the creek on a road bridge. Here I encountered a larger walking group.
Finally I arrived at Ilse Spring. This spring is known since the middle ages as a health spring. Until the 30 year war this was a pilgrimage site for people being ill from far away. There after its health benefits where forgotten. In the 1980's the water was scientifically analysed. It turned out that the water is completely positive right turning polarised. This exceptionality is the same as at the springs of Lourdes and Sulzthal. The spring is encased by the original stones from hundreds of years ago. I filled up my water bottles.
Following a short break in Deuz I continued walking. Soon it became evening and I searched for a spot for the night.
