VIb.23    Section Montepiano - Cascina de Spedaletto   27km

Another day mostly along the crest of the mountain range. It was mostly sunny and warm. The trail has a lot of ups and downs and the trees are slowly getting greener. I stopped for lunch at a chappel at Passo del Tabernacolo. There was a chair and I could sit in the shade. Most of the trail was easy to hike. Only a few parts where very rocky and getting along tooks its time. The Refugio Pacini where I arrived at in the afternoon was as to be expected closed. Here I met three people who had hiked in from the nearby road. Then I met one other person. He was cutting fire wood by the trail. Late in the evening I finally arrived at Cascina de Spedaletto. Here is one house and I asked the locals where I could set up my tent and where to get water. They advised me to stay anywhere on the meadow and that I could get water from a spring by the creek. By the time it got dark I had just finished my dinner.
