Yesterday I had all day long a road walk. Today it was along a real trail following the crest line. The trail was good to walk and I made good progress. Most of the day it was sunny and warm for a change. In the evening I arrived at Passo Chiapparino. As the wheather had been good all day I became a bit reckless. I set up my tent at the ridge. Around midnight I was woken up by an incoming thunderstorm. Only a couple of hundred meters downhill was a small chapel that was shown as a shelter on the map. For the first time ever I picked up my tent and hiked down a dirt road with my flashlight on. Inside the chapel was enough space for me to put my sleeping pad. In case of need there was room enough for a second pad. Here I could safely stay for the night.
