VIb.32    Section Pontremoli - Passo dei Due Santo   27km

Well now I have spent a night at a monastry but also at a castle too. After breakfast and a visit to the communal bathroom I left the castle. I opened and closed again the padlock and dropped the key into a letterbox. Down along the narrow streets to the market square, across the River Magra and onto the road Via Valli di Zeri. Of course it was raining until lunch. I followed the paved road until Zeri. Here I turned off to Passo dei Due Santi. Here at the pass is the Rifugio Zum Zeri. It was closed. I found nearby a spot for my tent. Three nosy cats lived here. They cam by again and again. Here at the pass the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri (AVML) ends or starts whichever direction one takes.
