Following an extensive breakfast I reurned to Scapoli. This town is known as the bagpipe capital of Italy. Of course there was a monument for bagpipe player. Walking through town there are many indications of bagpipes. From here I went downhill into the valley of river Molise. I stopped for lunch somewhere in the river flats. At a dam across the river I had to turn around. The dam was blocked off by large fence and gate. I had to walk back for several kilometers before crossing the river on a bridge.
Now I had to walk very carefully along a very busy road until Carpinete. There I could turn unto minor roads to Santa Lucia. Here I had planned to go shopping at a local Conad. I arrived shortly before closing time. Moving further on I searched for a place for the night which was not so easy. Left and right I passed by olive plantations. Well past 20:00 h I finally found a halfly disused plantation where I could set up my tent well hidden from the minor road.
