VIc.11    Section Lago la Selva - Castelnuevo   15 km

Following yersterdays long hiking day I slept in and started later than normal. No sooner I had started I was raided by a bunch of dogs. With help of my hiking poles and a rather loud whistle I finally got away from these dogs. The dog owners where near by but they did not care about the behavior of their dogs. Walking mostly in the sun it became another hot day. There was hardly any traffic on the road. I had searched for some place at Scapoli but did not find anything. A little off the E1 I found the B&B La Montagna Rosa at Castelnuevo. This turned out to be a fantastic place. I had a complete bungalow for the night. When arriving I contacted the host who soon arrived and showed me arround the house. There was nothing left to be desired. Than I went to the only restaurant in town. I had a good piza. The way back was partly along dark roads.
