Breakfast was not at the hotel but a neyrby bar. With todays weather yesterday would have been a great hiking. The weather had changed completely. No wind and mountain tops where all visible. I followed mostly minor roads with little traffic. Instead of crossing the mountain Faito I staid in the valley and followed the river in the nature preserve Forre di Lavello. The old road is blocked and only open for cyclists and pedestrians. The road offers many views of the the river. BAck at the new road I saw many no parking signs for the forthcoming Giro d'Italia. In Cerreto Sannita I stopped for an icecream. Dinosaur bones have been found in this area. Of course there is a monument depicting one of them.

In the community of Castelvenere may whine bottles where displayed directly adjacent to E1. This was in memory to Sophia Loren. In 1955 a film was made here. Towards evening I had a long climb ahead of me. Along the road where signs for an Osteria. I could stay for the night. I had spagetty for dinner. They had partly water problems. Toilet flushing was from a bucket of water.
