During the night the wind had picked up and some light rain started. In the morning it was cloudy with very little sunshine. Later I walked for a while in the clouds. I met four Italian hikers who where out for three days. We talkied a bit and I move on. The SI follows almost exclusivly sandy roads or those that are paved. Just short of Potame I encountered goats with guard dogs and a shepherd. In Potane I went to the only bar and enjoyed icecream. I asked to host where I could set up my tent for the night. He told me I could pitch the tent near the bar at the local park. I went there and found a genced in meadow with picnic tables and kids play equipment. Part of the gras was recently mown. At a picnic table I had my recently typical dinner; bread with butter, cheese and ham.

Near Monte Pietralonga (1216m) the trail follows a road of paving stones
Near Potame a goat herd had passed me by
