The shelter Meekonjärvi was a few hundred yards down from the trail but near River Goddejohka where I had gotten my water from. When leaving camp the first other hikers started getting up. All day long the trail was well trotted. I encountered at least another 50 hikers over the course of the day. Basically all of them were Finnish and hiking from Kilpisjärvi to Halti, a 53 km long trail. It became another sunny day. However there was a quite cold and strong wind. Only towards evening it became warmer. Some parts where a bit rocky but could be navigated well. The wet parts of the trail could be traversed on wooden planks. The two huts I had passed during the day looked quite nice. I stopped for the night short of Kilpisjärvi as I wanted to spend time using the laundry and shopping for the next sections.
