Today was the last section of my Vasalopsleden hike. I reached the highest point of the trail at 512 Meters. Skiers have to climb a rather steep ascent before it becomes easier going to Mora. I followed the now much wider path down towards the starting arena. At the visitor centre I got a certificate of completion. I also paid for staying two nights at their huts. I continued on into the village of Sälen. Here I bought my food for the next section. Now I had to follow uphill a paved road all the way until reaching Högfjällshotel. This major hotel is only opened in winter. Here two people were playing with their model cars. Here starts the Södre Kungsleden. The short section I hiked today was wide with a smooth surface. I hiked until Östfjellstugan which is nicely situated near a lake. With great sunshine I set outside enjoying my dinner.
