It rained all night long. Inside the shelter I had a peaceful night. Getting down from the fjell I started in the clouds. Even so the rain had stopped the trail staid as wet as it had been. Sometime downhill I started looking across the country below the clouds. Once I reached the bottom I had to cross the river on a bridge. Now I took the paved road to the youth hostel. This was to bee the end of this year hiking the E1. The hostel host gave me the tip to contact a company Rucksackreisen. They have once a week a bus from their camp near Idre via Sälen to Germany. I contacted them and was lucky. Two day later a bus left with a stopover in Hamburg.

Coming down from the fjell I came out of the clouds allowing a glance at the wide flat land.

This is how the path on wooden planks across wet areas looked like. Normally it can be passed without getting wet feet.

Starting point of Southern Kungsleden, northern part of E1 in Sweden

The Sälen Youth Hostel is near the E1 but far out of town.
