Following an extensive visit of the rather interesting museum in Forsvik I continued in the morning. This was a nice warm and sunny day. As has been most of the time this section was partly very wet again. The noisy military planes from a nearby airport were very bothering for quite a long time. One touch down attempt after the other. Halfway towards Undernäs the path splits. Straight ahead it continues to Undernäs and a right hand turn bypasses the town. The bypass is rather grown over but still reasonably well to walk. I had lunch at the shelter at Lake Stora Kalven. Prior to reaching road 49 the path crosses a number of pastries. One group of rather nosy cows I had to keep at a distance with my walking poles. At Klangahamn the path arrives at Lake Vättern. This little port has a nice fish smoke house with shop. Now the path follows the shore of Lake Vättern until Granvik. Some rocks have to be climbed with the help of ladders. As compensation there are some great views of Lake Vättern. In Granvik I found out that the bus stop that is marked on the maps does not exist any more since a number of years. As I wanted to go to Karlsborg I only could choose between road walking or hitch hiking. After a short time waiting a driver gave me a lift and brought me straight to the youth hostel in Karlsborg.
