I traveled by train to Brunswick and onwards by bus to reach trail E6. AS I was still in the Northern German Plains it was an easy to follow trail. It became a sunny and hot day. Luckily the trail often passed through forests giving some shade. All I met where cyclists and dog walkers but no hikers. The trail passes through the town of Wolfenbüttel. Here I stopped at an Italien Pizeria. I reached the Kukeriulenburg by evening. This is a former castle from the early middle ages. Only the ramparts remain today. Nearby I set up my tent.
