It became a cloudy but mostly warm day. The mountain tops were in the clouds. Instead of following the marked trail which starts off with a long and steady climb up to Mountain Iparla at 1.045 m we followed a minor road to Saint-Etienne de Baigorry where we had lunch near the local supermarket. Then it was uphill along the trail to the Cabane d'Urdanzia. After a while we were in the clouds and it became cooler and windy. Near the Cabane and some holding pens for sheep or cattle we found a spot with a little bit of windbreak and set up our tents.
