Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port 10 km
It was a windy night and I woke up a few times. In the morning when starting to prepare my breakfast I could not find my food bag. Looking around inside the tent I noticed a hole in the moskito netting but no bag. When getting outside I noticed still in the clouds my ripped apart bag and all my food being spread out near and far my tent. Some of the wind at night must not have been it but instead a fox working to get the food bag out. This left me without any food. Gladly I accepted something to eat from Heather. Also we only had about 10 km to town where I could get some food. This was bad but could have been much worse.
We had decided to stay indoors for the night and staid in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. For lunch we went to a restaurant while we had dinner in our appartment utilising the microwave. Luckily the local Maya Sport had freeze dried food allowing me to re-supply for the next days.
