I had a peaceful night in my tent in front of the hotel. The hotel breakfast left nothing to be desired. Then I moved on with the first stop at Hällingsåfallet. In the beginning along a paved road I almost walked into Norway. Then I followed a gravel road with little traffic. Most of the cars went to the water falls. They where nice to look at. From there on I was on my own. The trail to Munsvattnet was partly a forest service road and partly rather wet 4wheel-drive tracks. Only the middle part was neither marked nor could I see any tracks. I had to follow the GPS tracks across wet meadows and moors. There also was a difficultly to be crossed creek. Finally I arrived constantly improving tracks.
Near Lake Lobbersjön the trail passes by several Sami huts. Here I met no one. On I went partly along wet but easy to follow 4wheel-drive tracks to Vinklumpen. From on top of the mountain I had a great view all around. Sami whre erecting a longer fence for their reindeer. It did not look like they did care much about nature. No one was there anymore but the fires from cut down trees burned unattended. At the start of the road to Vasjöbyn they had built a large installation with stables for their deer. Following the gravel road I arrived at Vasjöbyn. First I went to the store Landhandel. From there I called the hostel. I was lucky. The host was standing outside with his car and gave me a ride to his place well out of the village. Here I met a Swedish and an US American hiker. They both headed north so we could exchange a lot of information about the trail.
