I started off in the morning with sunshine. It was an easy start as I had to follow the road to Tyinholmen. There I left the main road and continued along another one until I arrived at a parking lot on the other side of River Koldedøla. From here the trail started. Most of the day I hiked near Lake Tyin. The trail was rather level but at several spots very wet. I met hardly any other hikers. At lunch the clouds started moving in but it staid dry.

 

At the end of Lake Tyin I passed by a number of vacation homes. The Lake was dammed and here I crossed over to a road. Soon I arrived at a bridge crossing River Tya. Here todays climb started. Past more vacation homes I was soon on my own again. Finally I arrived at Lake Øvre Årdalsvatnet. The DNT hut Slettningsbu is adjacent to the lake.

 

There where four other hikers at the hut. One of them had been fishing and cought more than they could eat. I got a nice filling dinner of trout and mashed potatos. what a pleasen surprise.
