It was wet in the morning but soon became dry for the rest of the day. The trail started along the slope of Mountain Breidånuten taking me to Lake Hyttevatn. Here I had to choose from two paralel trails. I selected the seemingly more travelled lower one. Well, it was not the best choise. After a while it peetered out into nothing. Now I had to go cross country uphill until arriving at the real trail. At the other end of the lake the trail to Helbertunet separated from my todays trail. Soon I arrived at near Lake Såvatn and the statskov (Forest Service) shelter Såvasshytta. I passed by and soon arrived at the first river to be crossed in my Crocks. A few hundred meters on I had to ford the next one.
Back in my dry boots I moved on up to near Mountain Storsteinen. The day continued with several more ascents and descents. The wind had stopped over the day. Towards evening at the outlet of Lake Skammevatnet I had to put on my Crocks again. Another water too deep for my boots to stay dry while crossing it. Well past 8pm I finally arrived at DNT Bossbu. This had been a nice day with plenty of rocks. I had met no other hiker. Several people where staying at the hut.
Very low water level of Lake Hyttevatn
Luckily there are these rocks for crossing outlet of Lake Karintjørni
Near Mountain Hattestabben
Lake Rjuvtjørni
Late arrival at DNT Bossbu
