Upon passing through an extensive nice beech forest south of Kasseedorf the path crosses open fields before reaching manor Sierhagen. The path goes right through this manor. Reaching Neustadt in Holstein I had lunch at a harbour restaurant sitting in the sun. Not easily found was the path leaving Neustadt but soon the motorway was reached. Next place was Oevelgönne and then Altona (both are district names in Hamburg; they must have copied the names from us). Walking on long asphalted sections I approached the youth hostel at Scharbeutz-Klingberg. Unfortunately the E1 does not follow the coast line of the Baltic Sea this is not the youth hostel in Scharbeutz, which is right at the shore.
