It turned out to be a very hot day today; somewhere around 30° C. The last few days it had been a bit cooler. The deer still felt disturbed by my presence. I moved on early. A few times during the day I could see the high rises of Frankfurt. The trail mostly went along gravel forest roads and paved farmer roads. In Reichenbach I stopped for an early lunch break. Soon after the town I reached the overcrowded "Felsenmeer" (Rock Ocean). Here rock weathered into countless round rocks. Almost to the top of the mountain there are these rocks. People were climbing these rocks all the way up. I took the real trail. No soon had I reached a restaurant at the top the trail started to descent again. Finally I came to Ober Ramstadt. From here I took a local train to Frankfurt. The weather forecast for tomorrow advised of even hotter weather and the trail went down into the lowlands around Frankfurt. From here I took an ICE for the train ride back home to Hamburg. I arrived late in the evening.
