VIa.5    Section Casterno - Besate   25 km

During the night we heard some hogs rummaging through the forest and busy woodpackers. Nevertheless it was a restfull night. The day became sunny with some clouds and nice and warm. It was easy hiking again. However there where a number of fences along the trail and some keep out signs, something we had not seen before. And of course we encountered a number bycicles again. At Soria Vecchia we stopped for lunch at a pizza restaurant. Today the trail staid away from River Ticino and passed by farming areas. At some places we saw rows and rows of poplars. There was no way to camp anywhere in this farm area. We therefore went to the B & B Magnolia at Besate. Arriving unexpected for the owner she first had to prepare an appartment for us. Having a kitchen we could prepare our lunch and did not have to look for a restaurant.
