VIc.21    Section Fiume Calore - Monte Calvello   29 km

I started early and began the day with fording the by now a lot bigger river. A few meters along a regional road and I followed a red trail uphill. The trail was acceptable. Only problem is the trail end in Bagnoli Irpino in the remains of a construction side on private property. Not what I expected but I made to the road. Evenso everything was closed I stopped in town. I found a shaded place in the center for my lunch From here the E1 returns along the trail I just hiked for quite a while. Thats not what I wanted. Instead I hiked directly to Lago Laceno. It was a quiet but hot ascent. THis area being a vacation area the hotel prices where accordingly far to high. Well outside my budget at € 160,-- a night. So I moved on until finding towards evening a spot for the night.
