Ia.24    Section Gappohytta - Aslatjavri   30 km

I was the first up in the morning and well fed I started the days hike. The mountains were still hidden in the clouds but the well marked trail was easy to follow. Later the sun came out and light breeze started. For a few kilometres the trail passes through Sweden before returning to Norway. Soon I had to cross several small snow fields. Also for a while the trail became quite rocky. I had to wade through a couple of creeks before descending into Rostadalen. Here I passed by Rostahytta before crossing the river on a bridge. On the other side the markings did not correspond with my GPS track. As the markings veered more and more off from my GPS I went cross country back to the track. Here I came across a bit of visible trail and occasionally some partly tumbled over markings. I kept going until finally arriving at River Áslatjohka where the new markings arrived too. It was almost 8:00 pm. After fording the river I started looking for a spot for the night which I soon found.
