When getting up I had another sunny day ahead of me. In the beginning the trail was mostly well recognisable and following some climb passed by two lakes. Here I could see on the other side a herd of reindeer on a snowfield. The deer is looking for protection from mosquitoes. At the end of the lakes I had to cross the River Gasavákkejóhka in my Crocks. Now being up on Fjell Gassavággi the E1 follows for hours marked cairns across scree fields. Every step has to be considered carefully. Getting across had taken a long time. Finally I could see the Daertahytta in the valley of the River Daertaelva. Down here I could walk trough grass on a real trail. I stopped for lunch at the hut.
Upon crossing River Daertaelva on a bridge I followed the river on the other shore for a while. Then it went up onto the fjell again. Up on the top I could see a Samic valley. Towards evening the trail went on and on around Mountain Stuora Nanná. Finally I arrived at River Skaktarelva. Here I had to get again out off my boots and into my Crocks to wade through the broad river. On the other shore I soon looked for a site for the night. By now it was almost nine pm. In the distance I could see to other tents.
