Another fine day lay ahead of me; the sun was shining all day long with just a few clouds. Right at the start was very steep climb out off the valley. While ascending I could see that the two tents where being taken down. The hikers followed the river while my trail took me through two mountains in the Valley Jierttásalbmi across the fjell. On the other side it went back down into the Valley Anjavass. The trail getting down to the hut Dividalshytta was very steep again. Further down I came into birch forests. Here I met a group of volunteers from the local DNT club clearing the trail from blow downs. I stopped for lunch at the hut. Here I met the responsible lady for all the huts of the local club. She hikes with her dog from hut to hut to check them out. Every 2 weeks she goes home for a few days off before returning to her routine.
From the hut the trail descents further until arriving at the river to follow nit downriver. At the hut I was advised that there are two options to move on; either to follow the river until arriving at the bridge and to continue on Nordkalottleden or to take the shorter old trail. I decided to take the shorter one; so back into my Crocks and wading through the river. On the other side it was a lot of cross country with the help of my GPS. After a while I found remnants of the old trail. The former wooden planks had been taken out and discarded in big heaps. Here it became rather wet. Finally I arrived at the main track again which I followed slowly climbing in the valley of River Anjavasselva. Then I left the valley to get to Vuomahut. I arrived past eight pm at this rather nice hut. Six other hikers where already at the hut but none where hiking along my trail.
