Today was to be a short hiking day. Also the helicopter was scheduled to start around lunch time. I could take by time hiking downriver. From the trail I had a good view of Mountain Akkha. About a kilometer short of the village Änonjálmme I crossed the river on several bridges. Here I met several day hikers. They had come by boat across Lake Áhkájávrre to hike to the river. It was rather impressive to look at with a lot of white water. Finally I arrived at the small Sami village. There is a small kiosk where I bought smoked fish and flat bread. It was a nice meal. There were more people than the helicopter could take in one ride. I learned that they would fly as often as needed to take every one across the lake. Together with four more passengers I went on a quick flight to Ritsem. Upon arrival I paid for the flight as the office and walked to the near by Fjällstation. Here I took a room, had a shower and re-supplied at the STF-store. There where only a few visitors at the self service kitchen.
