Everything had dried out over night. As I had arrived late at the hut I slept in and had a late start. First thing I had to get on the trail. I had walked in from the road and now had to look for the E1. It was not far from the stua. The day started of with a cloudy sky and I had all day long hardly any sunshine. The marked trail led through many wet boggy areas and it was mostly just a few kilometers from the Swedish border. I met no one else except for a few people in the farming area around Lake Veresvatnet. Also here the trail follows a gravel road which allowed for some progress. There is a DNT hut near the lake which I bypassed as it was still too early to stop for the night. Also I wanted to make more kilometers.
Leaving the road I hiked up to the barren Reinsmyrhøgda. Getting down at the other side I stopped at a creek near the small Lake Flåtjønna and set up my tarp. I had to set up my mosquito netting tent too as I encountered no-see-ums. First time I got any of them.
