Not having camped I had to accept the breakfast times of DNT-Nedalshytta. Finally I got moving at about half past nine. The trail started with rock stairs passing snow remnants passing Mountain Neklumpen and this often in the clouds. The trail was well prepared but rather wet. After a while the trail split. To the right it turned climbing up to Mountain Sylan with the highest point being just across the border in Sweden. Many of the guests at Nedalshyyta had been or planned to hike up to the top. I had passed the mountain two years ago on the Swedish side. I continued straight ahead and it started clearing up slowly. Towards evening the sun finally prevailed. Across the wet meadows E1 often followed wooden boards. I had to ford several creeks. Soon I could see the lake Esandsjøen and it staid in sight until evening. At DNT-Storeriksvollen I had booked in advance for a night too. Due to corona this was necessary in 2020. Just like last night I could enjoy a nice warm meal with company for talking.
