IIa.8 Section Storrödtjärnstugan - Skedbrostugan 26 km

Today I hiked mostly along Lake Rogen. Only a short stretch was along the shore but instead up on Tandsjövålen with many nice views of the lake. Soon I had to navigate through another very rocky stretch of trail. This was not as bad as yesterday but required careful hiking. It took me a bit of time until arriving at the shelter at Lake Rogen. After navigating some wet spots on wooden boards the trail lead me up onto another fjell. Back down again I had to cross the outlet of Stor-Tandsjön. Before getting there I stopped for lunch along the trail.

Rogenstugan, another shelter maintained by a host, is a bit off the trail. Not wanting to walk the extra kilometer and no need for anything from the stugan I went on. Later I met the host who had been out hiking for a few hours. The day had started with clouds but soon turned to become mostly sunny. Towards evening I arrived at an open shelter by Lake Rogen shore. I could not find any flat spots for my tarp and walked on for another hour. Along Kungsleden I finally stopped for the night.
