There was quite a bit of rain over night. I woke up several times from the drops hitting my tarp. When starting hiking in the morning there was still a light rain. I looked at low lying clouds in valley Tänndalen. After a while I arrived at the road in the valley. One of the coffee shops was opened only on weekends and the supermarket only in winter. A large all year supermarket existed on a billboard only. Construction had not started yet. This new supermarket will have mostly customers from Norway as besides alcohol a number of food items are considerably cheaper in Sweden than in Norway. At the moment they have to drive further down the road to Funäsdalen.
Near the Fjällnäs Hotel I found an open coffee shop at Lake Malmagen where I had dinner and bought their tiny stock of Mars bars. Adjacent to the shop the trail left the valley and climbed up to Rödfjället. At Fjellnäs shelter I dried my tarp from last night in the strong wind. It was cloudy until late into the afternoon. The trail was mostly wide as it followed 4wheel-drive tracks. Late in the evening I arrived at former Längbrotstugan. It used to be one of the shelters with a caretaker. However it was no longer in use. The condition it was in I could see the next morning. Instead they had built an emergency shelter with a separate privy. Here I staid for the night.
