Stora Hassungaredssjön                   3 km

The first stretch in the morning was difficult to pass. Forest trucks had completely ruined the path. Soon it became better. Before arriving at Fjärås does the path run along a moraine following a very old road. Thereafter I reached a heather nature reserve. Here is a graveyard with 127 stones and a black plight cemetery. On I went through the nature reserve Fjärås Bräcka. An information centre with cafeteria is located directly at the E1. I continued into the centre of Fjärås for lunch at a pizzeria. The path let me to the next shelter at Lake Stensjön. This shelter is slightly below a road directly at the lake shore. From here on the path is mostly on forest roads until reaching the border of the province Halland. There should be a shelter at Lake Blavättnerna. It does exist and is very nicely located at the lake. However the roof was leaking and rain drops were every where. So I continued on Bohusleden to reach the shelter at Lake Stora Hassungaredssjön. Again this shelter is nicely located at the lake shore. However the interior is more for a rest with table and benches then for spending the night. Another walker and I made the best out of it while two others staid in their tent.
