Overnight the clouds disappeared. It became a reasonably warm and sunny day. Following longer paved stretches and occasionally sandy ones I arrived around lunch at Warenholz. By now it had become so warm that I could hike with rolled up sleeves. Here in Warenholz I could sit outside at a cafe and have a big piece of cake with green tea. Refreshed I walked on along a railroad until arriving Isebrücke were a bridge crosses River Ise. Some railroad workers were working the signals. I stopped at the bridge at a picnic table cooking my real lunch.
From here the trail followed a busy country road. Having walked a couple of hundred meters I arrived at a small peat museum. They had a bunch of information boards and a number of machines displayed outside. That was a nice change from hiking. The road continued for many kilometers straight as an arrow passing through the road community Neudorf-Platenford. Luckily they have a separate foot path. Not stopping I came through Gifhorn and went off trail towards today's goal the camp ground at Lake Tankum. This artificial lake was made when digging the canal Elbe-Seiten-Kanal. It passes by next to the lake. When finally arriving at the camp ground it had turned dark and street light were shining. I was the only one with a tent at the ground. In the Italian restaurant at the camp ground I had a nice pizza.
