I wasn't in a hurry so I could spend a bit of time in Warnemünde before taking the ferry across river Warnow. It was somewhat hidden but I found it. I had to buy a ticket at the vending machine. And then I crossed the river. The path follows the road for a while. On the right hand side is the Navy and seemed to be endless. Finally I took one of the beach accesses to get away from this road. My first goal was the Baltic Sea resort Graal-Müritz. Before and after there are major forests and two nature reserves are inlands. Just outside from Graal-Müritz is the botanically quite interesting Rhododendron Park. Here I stopped for lunch. Then I continued on the peninsula Fischland with today's goal of Dierhagen-Strand (beach). Here I went to the camp ground. No sooner I had set up my tarp it started raining. I left my stuff inside the water tight bag. Walking to a nearby restaurant was a rather wet affair. While I had dinner it started to rain very hard. Upon return to the camp ground I found all my belongings to be bone dry. The tarp worked well.
