The weather improved over night. I continued along the beach to reach the resort Ahrenshoop. Many coffee shops were still closed. The bakery was open and offered something to eat. Now I had reached Western Pommerania. I went on towards Darß and the National Park Vorpommersche Bodenlandschaft with it's wild western shore. I walked partly along the beach, partly along the E9 through the virgin forest to reach the light tower Darßer Ort. The path is mostly along a former East German patrol path made of concrete slabs. Towards evening I arrived at the camp ground in the dunes of Prerow. It is located inside the National Park. As it has mostly sandy ground I had to move twice until I could set up my tarp just half ways safely.
