In the morning I walked along the beach until arriving at the resort Zingst. There I found a nice coffee shop. I stopped for an extensive second breakfast that was to replace my lunch. From there I walked to Zingst Stream and then along the dyke to get to the country road arriving from Barth. From here on it was paved all the way. I went across the bridge Meiningenbrücke, in northern direction a former rail road bridge. In southern direction it is across a pontoon bridge. The railway operated until 1945 from Barth to Zingst; and until 1996 from Barth to Bresewitz. There are plans to reinstall the railway until Zingst and Prerow. In Bresewitz there is a small museum on the railway tracks. The sun was shining when I arrived at Barth. So I had ice cream at the central market place. Then I walked past the granary which is turned into a Hotel. The youth hostel is outside of Barth and consists of many buildings situated on a hill.
