This was to be a long walking day. I walked along river Ryck until arriving at its estuary and then through forest to arrive at a road bridge across the railway line. Immediatly after the E9 enters a forest again. At Hanshagen (here the markings are sub optimal) I followed the advice of a local guy. You can't always be lucky. I got onto the forest road to Karbow. Following the road further along I finally arrived at a meadow near a power line. Should I turn back? I did not want to turn back so I walked across the meadow passing a creek and then following faint tractor marks. Upon entering the forest I arrived on a forest road with markings for path E9. I was lucky. Late at evening I arrived in Wolgast. I had to look for a Hotel as only option for the night. Later I had dinner in a fish restaurant along river Peenestrom.
