All day long I walked alongside the canal Ems-Jade. The path could not be missed and was well marked. Highlights were the locks. Otherwise it was straight ahead with hardly any small deviations. The highest elevation almost corresponds with the marked half point of the canal. Shortly before reaching Aurich the path Ostfriesland Wanderweg is crossed. This will be tomorrow's path. This point is not marked optimally but can be recognised by the rolling pedestrian bridge. I spent the night at the Aurich youth hostel.
