I continued walking along the sea dyke today. In Dangast the spa has to be crossed. Here were large crowds milling around. Once passing the sea locks it became quiet again. Before reaching the airport at Mariensiel I left the dyke and walked via Sande to canal Ems-Jade. The route could hardly be missed and soon I found the first markings again. Sometimes gravel, sometimes sand, sometimes on the hard shoulder I walked in westerly direction. In the evening I arrived at Hoheesche. After inquiring in the hamlet I found the canoe tent site directly at the canal. Here I spent a quiet night.
