Again and again I am surprised how little the long distance path's are known, while the cyclist path's are relatively well known. Instead of returning to the railway station I crossed the railway tracks near the youth hostel and walked to the well visible high rise. Here the path starts along the tracks of the former narrow gauge railway to Stollhamm. Until Abbehausen it is paved; there after gravel. In Stollhamm I continued the well marked path through the hamlet to the sea dyke. With a slight hazy view I walked from one flock of sheep to the next. Near Sehestedt I followed the path along the sea side of the "Floating Moore" until arriving at a camping ground. Due to its location in front of the dyke and therefore risk of flooding it would not open before beginning of May. I continued to Diekmannshausen. There is a year round open camp ground and I found a quiet corner for the night.
