I got up at 6am well ahead of the class. There was a light drizzle when I started out. It soon turned into a nice day. The trail was good to walk despite a few wet sections. At Vidalega I stopped for lunch on a bench outside of the sheep hearders hut. A number of nosy sheep came by to see who was intruding into their realm. Eventually I moved on and arrived at Lake Gaukheivatnet in the evening. There are a couple of vacation houses. I had to cross a river on a bridge before getting to the DNT huts. They are fenced in to keep the sheep out. However three had managed to get inside. The gras is always greener on the other side of a fnce. I was on my own and had a nice meal of baked beans. By now being later in the year it got dark earlier and I had to use the electric lights.

I had lunch with occasional sunshine at sheep herders hut Vidalega

And now downhill to Lake Gaukheivatnet
