There are several very nice viewpoints of river Schlei and from Haddeby on of Schleswig too. The path follows mostly the shore until reaching the Viking museum of Haithabu. This museum is a must!!! As I had visited several times before I only wanted to see the outside part with rebuild Viking houses and domestic animals of that epoch. Especially with the sun shining. Then there is a rune stone at the end of lake "Haddebyer Noor". With optimal weather I had shortly after Lottorf my first self prepared meal (boiling water with freeze dried food). Then I had to pass a very wet stretch of walk in "Westermoor". Depending on shoes and recent rain or sunshine it might be impassable. Another walker had to use a detour. A severe thunderstorm was forcaste for this area. So I changed my plans end looked for B&B, which wad located adjacent to E1, instead of camping. I had dinner in the only near by restaurant.

And this is how the path continues in "Westmoor". It was partly very wet.
