IV.3    Section Behringen - Imbrock 32 km

Behringen

Bispingen                7 km

Soltau                  20 km

Imbrock                  5 km

The tarp / tent was quite wet in the morning, inside and outside. Well, that needs to dry out in the sun during a morning break. Following minor roads passing through fields and meadows I return to the path. In the distance I could see the Snowdome which is located near Bispingen's motorway exit. This is a year round skiing hall. Until reaching the end of Bispingen the E1 was paved. Further on the path runs paralel to the motorway. Due to westerly winds the traffic noise was quite disturbing. Soon I reached the Luhe spring. This is a small river that flows near Hamburg into river Elbe. I walked most of the day through forests. One of the forest areas had recently partly been logged. This resulted in me having to walk over a lot of brush and branches. I only arrived late in Soltau. Here my lunch consisted of several pieces of cake from a local bakery. I found a bench in front of the church for the break. Past Soltau E1 follows river Böhme thereby leading through a lime tree alley. Towards evening I arrived at the campground in Imbrock which is directly along the path. This is a huge campground with about 650 year round campers.
