Following an extensive breakfast at the youth hostel I moved on. To get back to E1 I decided to walk along the Western shore of the lake thereby passing through a nature reserve until arriving at Hagenburg. In the nature reserve "Hagenburger Moor" I could see in the distance the nest of a sea eagle. In Hagenburg I was back on the well marked E1. From here I hiked to the mine dump of potassium mine at Bokeloh. This mountain in an otherwise flat area had caught my eye already at the hostel. Towards lunch I arrived at Midland Canal (Mittellandkanal). The trail followed the canal for a short stretch. I was lucky to se a river barge passing by. In Waltrinhausen I enjoyed a piece of cake before starting the last bit of the day. I walked to Barsinghausen were I staid for the night at the Nature Friends hostel. It is located a few kilometre off the path. For dinner I had a nice bacon and potato omelette.
