In the morning my tarp was covered by some ice. So I had to pack my wet tarp. In the beginning the sun was shining nicely; soon it disappeared. I started hiking on pavement. Today's goal was to reach the hostel in Willingen-Schmalefeld. I had to arrive before 3pm. There was some renovation work going on and I was to be the only guest. This meant no real lunch break. I arrived well in time. All restaurants in town were closed. The only shop was closed in the afternoons. It is between winter / skiing season and hiking season. Finally I found an open coffee shop. Here I had a Strammer Max (fried egg with ham on bread) and a piece of cake. I could dry my tarp at the hostel and had a good shower.
