That was a short hiking day today. Following a good nights sleep and the obligatory breakfast I moved on. I was a cold day with little sunshine. Soon I left the forest behind. In general it was downhill to Montabaur. At a local butcher I had a hearty lunch. Afterwards it was sightseeing time. I walked around the old town and the castle. I had seen the castle a few times when driving by on the Autobahn. The hostel is off the trail. It became half a "Zero Day". The warm dinner was more than I could eat; but it tasted very good.
