After last night in the woods I had planned to stay at a campground tonight. The current high temperatures definitely required if possible at all a shower. Following a short hike through forests I arrived in Singen. It was a Sunday and shops are closed. I stopped at the first gas station and had my breakfast. When leaving Singen I arrived at the ascent to the fortress Hohentwiel. I was asked to pay entrance fee for the festival Hohentwiel. It required some discussion until people understood that I was hiking E1 and had no interest in their festivities. At this early hour it had not even really started.

It was another hot day today. Soon I went downhill again. Another volcanic cone with ascent and descent later I arrived at Höhenkrähen. On top of this cone was a castle ruin. It was followed by cones Mägdeberg and Hohenstoffeln. Having passed Weiterdingen I had a longer lunch break. I had a good view of farmers working their fields harvesting grains and turning hay. Later I crossed the volcanic cone Hohenhewen. Then I arrived at the campground at Engen. After setting up the tarp I took a refreshing shower. Thereafter I bought an ice cream. Also I recharged my phone.
