During the night there were showers and rather strong wind. Still in the morning I was inside the clouds. There was no rain in the morning but I staid in the clouds for quite some time. Today's goal was to reach the hostel in Pforzheim. Therefore it became a shorter hiking day. Beyond Dobel the trail was closed. Construction of new wind engine towers was going on. A diversion was newly constructed and well marked. On the diversion logging operations were taking place. The trail was closed in the opposite direction but not in mine. Near Dennach I was back on the old trail. In Neuenburg directly adjacent to the E1 I bought lunch at a supermarket. On I walked to Pforzheim. Soon it started raining again. Just short of the end of the Westweg the Schwarzwaldverein (Black Forest Club) finally uses once the otherwise normal St. Andrews cross. The hostel is inside the remains of an old castle. Later in the evening I had a nice warm dinner.
These benches had no view being in the clouds in early morning
